The kooky critters of Animal Soup love playing together in their silly soup bowl. But guess what? They love it even more when kids find one-of-a-kind pictures of their friends and fish them out of the soup. Say what?
Animal Soup originated in the United Kingdom where whimsical characters - including cows, fish, pigs, monkeys - develop unique personalities. From donning sunglasses to wearing antennae, there's always one that stands out in the crowd! Kids playing the Animal Soup game create one-of-a-kind critters with the turn of a page in a flip book and dash to the game board in search of that one, special elusive animal that stands out... in a crowd.
The flip books have color-coded index tabs and are divided into top and bottom pages. Roll the die and open your book by flipping the tab that matches the color on the die. Flip just one tab and always create a unique animal (there's always one). Between the four books, there are a whopping 100 different animal combinations! As soon as you locate your "only one critter" on the board, drop your spoon in the soup bowl and point out the exact match. The first player that correctly matches "book to board" removes one animal from the soup. When the bowl is empty, the game is over... the player with the most animal tokens wins!

An added feature of this board game is that everyone, from 2 to 4 players, play at once. Like many Briarpatch games, Animal Soup teaches a child the lessons of friendship and cooperation, while sharpening observation skills. The hunt for silly animals can be palyed by children ages five and older.
Each Animal Soup games comes with an Animal Soup game board, 4 flip books, 4 soup spoons, a soup bowl, 15 animal tokens, a color-coded die and complete game rules.
