Leapster 2

Leapster2 Learning Game System

The Leapster2 Learning Game System is the newest member of the Leapster® family of Learning Game Systems -- the number one educational gaming platform with nearly 5 million sold in the U.S.  The USB-enabled Leapster2 system offers a sleek new form and online connectivity to give parents and caregivers the inside track on what their little gamers are learning.  Using the included PC - and MAC compatible Leapfrog® Connect Application, parents can create customized profiles for their kids on Leapfrog's Learning Path, then connect the Leapster2 handheld to the computer to see the skills and concepts kids are practicing every time they play.

As children progress along their individualized Learning Path, parents and caregivers can help guide the learning and access further content to match their kids' interests and needs.  When kids connect, the points they've earned during gameplay upload and unlock online rewards - and a sneak peek at further rewards to work for.  As with the original Leapster system, the Leapster2 handheld auto-levels, adjusting games to children's particular skills and progress, so players are appropriately challenged.

"LeapFrog is the first company to provide parents a comprehensive insider's view into what and how their child is learning, based on actual play data," said Dr. Jim Gray, director of learning for LeapFrog.  "Based on our exclusive experience developing educational products for schools, the Learning Path details the skills a child is engaged in, giving parents insights into what excites their children to learn, as well as where they nay be struggling and need extra attention."

The introduction of Learning Path marks the first time that LeapFrog has made its Scope and Sequence available to parents.  The Scope and Sequence is the company's proprietary curriculum of educational skills that is the backbone of all LeapFrog products, language and literacy, mathematics and science.

Requires 4 AA batteries, not included.  Internet connection required for connected play.
