This intergalactic arthropod is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Not a crab or a spider this quadruped is in a category all its own. Featuring a sleek outer shell and large rounded eyes, Roboquad uses his rotating legs, agile head and articulated neck to explore and navigate around his environment. Featuring multicolored flashing lights and funky sound effects, Roboquad maneuvers in all directions with unique, spider-like movement.

Roboquad’s unprecedented mobility allows him to move in any direction. Using his rolling crabwalk, Roboquad will travel in a futuristic crawling motion surveying the world around him. When a foreign object enters Roboquad’s path he may scan for an escape route or simply back away to avoid a possible collision.

Roboquad is the first Wowwee robot to allow independent control of each motor. By using the 8-way directional pad on the remote control, you can move Roboquad’s legs together in pairs or simply move each leg individually - in, out or have it roll under his body. Set Roboquad to get up on his toes or cycle through his different gaits. Have Roboquad check his legs and he will look at each foot to make sure everything is ok. Roboquad is equipped with both dance and movement demos that showcase his remarkable range of motion.

More aware than any other Wowwee robot, Roboquad is the most inquisitive creature to invade the planet. This bot is on a continuous adventure and no earthling will stand in his way. Equipped with a high quality vision system Roboquad’s sophisticated eyes project a focused IR (Infrared) beam that reflects against his environment so he can make smart decisions on where things are and where he can go. Roboquad has the ability to spot movements at up to six feet and navigate around obstacles with ease.

Roboquad’s deep IR scanner and fast scanning head enable him to see shapes of all sizes including people, furniture and doorways and will flinch if suddenly startled. Whether Roboquad is dodging your furniture or crossing mysterious household terrain, he is continually investigating his surroundings and taking action.

This robot isn’t afraid of the dark! Able to detect the difference between dark and light, Roboquad will turn on his head-mounted LEDs when faced with darkness. When the lights go out, Roboquad keeps going and he may even start dancing!

Using advanced sound sensor technology, Roboquad reacts quickly to sounds and will scan his environment for any possible intruder. Roboquad can respond aggressively, scared or nervous as he reacts to sight, sound, or both.

Roboquad is quite the character with three controllable personality settings! Whether you want Roboquad to spend his time scanning his environment or traveling a great distance at a faster speed- it’s up to you. You have the ability to manage his Awareness, Activity or Aggression levels which directly affect the way he reacts to your presence and objects. Just by switching his Aggression level to high, Roboquad will change from a shy robot into one feisty character. Turn his Activity level to high and you will have one quick and responsive robot on your hands.

Roboquad can be controlled by remote or leave him in autonomous mode to explore his environment, scanning and avoiding obstacles on his own. Through the remote there are 72 functions at your command. Control Roboquad’s sensors, movement and even his personality settings. Roboquad is also completely programmable. Now you can program specific walking or motion routines with a sequence of up to 40 commands for a complete interactive experience. Each time you give Roboquad a program command, Roboquad will perform a little bit of the move and make an affirmative sound.

Switch Roboquad to guard mode and have your own personal security look out. As Roboquad enters into Guard mode he will move into his aware stance to look and listen for any disturbances, at a range determined by his Awareness level. Once he enters this mode you will have approximately 5-7 seconds to clear the area. Roboquad will then respond differently depending on his Aggression level to any sound or object within his scanning range.

Roboquad features volume control and extended battery life for prolonged missions. After five minutes of no signal from his remote control, Roboquad will enter sleep mode. Roboquad will automatically power down after 24 hours of being in sleep mode.

With four C batteries (not included) for Roboquad and three AAA batteries (not included) for the remote control, Roboquad is easy to use and fully functional right out of the box.
